THE WORKSHOP

This workshop will be very limited to only 4 people. Christina wants to make sure each student will get all their questions answered about the different topics we will be covering.

Students will need to put down a fully refundable $100 deposit first, and apply to be a student in the workshop. Christina wants to make sure the students are at the same level with their photography.

Christina will interview each student over the phone (if needed), and have a look at their website to make sure they are at the level of the other students.

This is NOT for the beginner who is still struggling with their camera. This is not a workshop about how to do photography. This workshop is specifically for photographers who are managing to get some clients, have photographed some jobs, and want to get more of their ideal clients.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

YOU ALREADY HAVE A WEBSITE – Your website is one of the most important marketing tools and we will be reviewing each student’s website live in class on a very large screen.

YOU HAVE ALREADY PHOTOGRAPHED SOME JOBS – It doesn’t matter how big or small those jobs are, but it’s important that you have some experience working with a few clients.

YOU ARE WILLING TO INVEST IN MARKETING – To get clients, we need to go after them in many different ways, and printed promos is one of them. You must be willing to put money into your business for marketing. Christina will show you all the resources she uses to find clients. You don’t have to spend a lot of money – you just need to be willing to do something.

YOU ARE WILLING TO GET TO WORK IN THE WORKSHOP – Each student will start working on their own targeted client list in class.

WHAT WE WILL WORK ON:

Website reviews where we look at your website and give feedback on functionality, and image galleries
How to work on your brand, and create your own style
Critique of your “About” page on your website
Marketing material reviews
Christina will show you what she does to find clients using several resources (restaurants, food companies, and ad agencies), so that you have a plan set in place to make your own client list to go after – no one else is teaching this at all
We will all work together using the tools I’ve shown to find some clients for you to get you started – intro to SIC Codes
Come up with your marketing plan
Contract reviews – estimates, invoices, terms and conditions
Of course, lots of Q & A’s
If students are interested, and we have time: Pricing yourself so you make a profit
If students are interested, and we have time: I’ll talk about my process from start to finish, when working with clients
This is a live workshop and is not being recorded. It will be best if you bring a laptop with you for the exercise where you will start looking for new clients.

WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

“First of all thank you for the information that you provided, the SIC code search information was very valuable! I feel very inspired! Came home built two table tops and ready to create more test shots, and make changes to my website. Thank you for the great experience, and for sharing your information and business knowledge!”

“I had been spinning my wheels for a while trying to figure out how to get clients, Googling local restaurants, and figuring that there had to be a better, less time-consuming method. The SIC code overview was huge for me. I think my biggest issue now is my general shyness in reaching out to people but that’s something I need to work through on my own. I definitely feel like the workshop gave me the knowledge I need to reach out with more confidence.”

Teri S.

~~~
“My goal was to find out how to track down potential clients and I feel that was covered with great depth. It was a very informative workshop. The SIC code information was huge for me. I was wasting a lot of time Googling restaurants and figured that must be a better method but had no idea what it could be. Thank you for being so open with information and helpful!”
